Britain’s “Economist Group” has published this year’s “Global Liveability Index”, and Vienna is in pole position for the third time running! Copenhagen, Zurich and Melbourne were also in the running. The 173 cities included in the rankings are rated in five categories (stability, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and culture and environment), with Vienna scoring full marks in the first four categories.
Attending conferences and congresses is also more pleasant in a liveable city, and both the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Union of International Associations (UIA) have unveiled their rankings for 2023. Although each evaluation considers different events, they are equally valuable to the sector and the conference hosts alike, and Vienna has scored highly on both lists (UIA: 2nd place with 298 conferences; ICCA: 4th place with 144 congresses).
