With the support of the Committee of Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Commercial Department of the Austrian Embassy organized a round table to present Austrian expertise and discuss with Uzbek authorities and business partners technology solutions and know-how for further development of the Uzbek touristic infrastructure. The opening of the roundtable was done by Vice Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Sardor Niyazov and Commerical Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy, Rudolf Lukavsky. Representatives of the Uzbek authorities, various mountain regions of Uzbekistan, which plan expansion of touristic projects, touristic companies and investors held intensive talks with the Austrian experts.
Interested experts of the Uzbek Tourism sector will visit the specialized exhibition Interalpin 2025 , the leading international trade fair for alpine technology, which will take place 6 – 9 May 2025 in Innsbruck, Austria.
The further development of tourism infrastructure is a top priority for Uzbekistan. Austrian providers can particularly score well in the area of mountain sports and leisure tourism, and some Austrian companies are already significantly involved in the development of local tourism infrastructure. Uzbekistan offers a great potential for Austrian infrastructure solutions and know-how in the development of tourism and winter sports areas, infrastructure modernization, plant construction, equipment, as well as in the field of education.
